THE FIRST OF THE BABY BOOMERS TURNS 60 THIS YEAR!!

Just as it was when BB's were growing up, so it will be while growing older (uh, er...becoming mature...) Because BB's are the largest population growth ever, whatever we do, whatever we buy will affect economic and sociological trends.

In the next 25 years, we will strain the health care system to the max, we will also affect manufacturing and service sector trends.

You don't realize it, but you ARE and WILL BE very much in demand in a second career after retirement. Since we are the "bulk" of the population, when we retire, a lot of the "knowledge base" in business, education, and industry will disappear. These will NEED US to continue in other roles in order to "pass the torch".

Baby boomers will re-invent retirement. They will not disappear into the sunset in their RV. Because of their past experiences with politics, music, and pop culture, most will choose to affect the improvement of life in the USA in many different areas.

According to a survey conducted in 2005 by the Nomura Research Institute, 78.2% of BB's wish to continue working after retirement. Fortunately, because of retirement income, BB's will have a diversity of work modes open to them. This will be a HUGE influence to the global community that will feel BB's "retirement tsunami" peak impact by 2030.
